There is a difference between being “accepting” and being complacent in standing for the values of your country. Please have some reverence for the values upon which your country was founded. So many people shed their blood to ensure that citizens of your country are free from social oppression and religious persecution.

Diversity is beautiful, but that should not be an excuse to allow foreign cultures to bring outdated perspectives like religious fundamentalism into a society that has already overcome such nonsense. Doing so feels sacrilegious to those who have sacrificed their lives to make your country a land of the free and the home of the brave.

To me, acceptance and diversity mean: we welcome people from any and every background to a life of liberty, justice, and freedom. It does not, rather should not mean that we should allow people to bring their values of unliberty/injustice/oppression and contaminate our society with it.
